Hyderabad: Four arrested for copper cable theft near IDL Lake

Hyderabad: The Kukatpally police on Friday arrested four persons for allegedly stealing copper armoured cables worth about Rs 6 lakh from a construction site near IDL Lake.

The arrested persons are Lakhindra Boruah, Anupam Gogoi, Neetu Das and Nabajyoti Das, all security guards and natives of Assam.


Police said that on February 4, the suspects, who worked as security guards at the construction site, had stolen the material to sell it to meet personal expenses.

About 500 kg of stolen copper cables were recovered from them.
