Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar inaugurated four pre-fabricated dog kennels at City Security Wing Goshamahal on Thursday.
The kennels worth Rs 5.5 lakh were donated by Dr Satyanarayana Chava, CEO Laurus laboratories limited. On the occasion, Ch V Ramana Rao, vice president of Lauras Labs was also present.
Meanwhile, a blood donation camp was organised by the Hyderabad Police in collaboration with Thalassemia Society and Niloufer Hospital at Domalguda on Thursday.
Inaugurating the blood donation camp, Anjani Kumar said that entire society should be committed in taking care of Thalassemia patients. “It is a great social service and human sign of policing. Officers and men of Hyderabad police regularly donate blood and saving lives,” he said.
The Commissioner said that due to lockdown there was a drop in blood donations and after the police noticed it, steps were taken to collect it by arranging blood donation camps at all police station levels. During the camp, 253 police personnel donated the blood.
