Hyderabad gears up for Hanuman Jayanthi with 3,000 police personnel on duty

The Hyderabad Police have announced elaborate security measures for the Veer Hanuman Jayanthi procession scheduled on Thursday. Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar stated that 168 processions, including the main one from Gowliguda to Tadbun, will be held.

Hyderabad: The Veer Hanuman Jayanthi procession will be taken out under tight police security in the city on Thursday.

VC Sajjanar, Hyderabad Police Commissioner, said 168 processions including the main Veer Hanuman Jayanthi procession will be taken out from Ram Mandir, Gowliguda, to Hanuman temple at Tadbun, Secunderabad, covering a distance of 12.5 km. A tributary procession will be taken out from Hanuman temple, Karmanghat and join the main procession.

“All arrangements have been made for the peaceful conduct of the procession. Around 3,000 personnel from the Rapid Action Force, City Armed Reserve, Task Force and local police will provide security to the procession,” he said.

The procession will also be monitored from the Command and Control Centre with the help of surveillance cameras. “I will also monitor the procession from the field and the former Police Commissioner’s Office located at Basheerbagh. I appeal to the people to cooperate with the police,” said Sajjanar.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory to the public in view of the procession, which will pass through Koti, Sultan Bazaar, Kachiguda, Narayanguda, RTC Cross Roads, Gandhinagar, Ramgopalpet and conclude at Tadban.
