Hyderabad gets Rs 488 cr sanction for Trumpet Interchange at Budvel
The Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD) has sanctioned Rs 488 crore for a new Trumpet interchange to ease traffic between Radial Road–2, ORR–Gachibowli, ORR–Shamshabad–RGIA, and Budvel.
Hyderabad: The Municipal Administration & Urban Development gave an administrative sanction of Rs 488 crore to build a new Trumpet interchange to facilitate smooth traffic movement between Radial Road–2, ORR– Gachibowli, ORR–Shamshabad–Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, and Budvel.
The HMDA in an official statement on Wednesday said the DPR for the Trumpet interchange has been completed and is presently at the tender stage.
Apart from two elevated corridors being built in the Secunderabad Cantonment, the MA&UD accorded sanction to build third elevated corridor from Banjara Hills ICCC to Shilpa Layout, to provide direct and signal-free access to the ORR at Gachibowli and Rs 1,656 crore estimated towards its cost.
The elevated corridor-III proposed with a combination of 4-lane and 6-lane configurations and a total of six entry & exit locations at major intersecting points are planned at Road No. 82 (Film Nagar), Narne Road, Road No. 52, ITC Kohenur Road, T-Hub Junction, and Auro Realty Junction.
Other infrastructure works including widening and strengthening of pipeline road from Shankarpally road at MGIT to Manikonda including junction development at NPCI and widening of left ‘Main Carriage Way’ (MCW) of Outer Ring Road from Nanakramguda to Gachibowli, also received MA&UD’s nod.
