Hyderabad: Heavy water leakage in Rajendranagar disrupts water supply in certain areas
Water supply in Hyderabad was disrupted due to a major leak in the 1,400 mm pipeline of KDWSP Phase-3 at PVNR Expressway. HMWSSB will carry out repairs from 11 am on September 1 to 7 am on September 2, affecting several key localities.
Hyderabad: Water supply in several areas of the city was disrupted due to heavy water leakage at the 1,400 mm diameter pipeline of Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project (KDWSP) Phase-3, at the PVNR Expressway, Rajendranagar.
The HMWSSB will attend repair works including fixing leaks on the 300 mm diameter scour valve extension pipe at Attapur Musi bridge and replacing non-functional valves at Mailardevpally Phase-III Pump House from 11 am on September 1 to 7 am on September 2.
The water board said that water supply would be disrupted for 20 hours under the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project Phase-3 Ring Main-1, affecting some reservoir areas. The affected areas include Jubilee Hills, Film Nagar, Prashasan Nagar, Gachibowli, Madhapur, Ayyappa Society, and Kavuri Hills.
Consumers in the affected areas were requested to use water sparingly during the disruption and conserve water until the issue is resolved.
