Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer M Ramesh had a narrow escape from being injured by a ‘manja’ loosely hanging from a tree during his morning walk on Saturday.

Sharing about the incident in his style with lyrics from Jr NTR’s film ‘Devara’ on X, Ramesh, IGP (Provisioning and Logistics), said he had just missed an accident.

“My eyes suddenly glanced upon a kite thread which otherwise would have entangled around my neck and legs at the same time. I had a narrow escape from being injured in the incident,” the officer said.

He further urged citizens to be cautious and properly dispose of any loose kite threads during Sankranti festival, as there was a possibility that others would get injured.
