Hyderabad junior college staff assaults student, resulting in jaw fracture
A student at a corporate junior college in Malakpet sustained a fractured jaw after allegedly being assaulted by a staff member during a scuffle. The incident triggered protests from parents, who condemned the college’s handling of discipline and accused it of fostering a toxic environment.

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at a corporate junior college at Gaddiannaram in Malakpet, after a staff allegedly beat up a student severely, resulting in a fracture to his jawbone.
The incident occurred on the evening of September 15, when the student, identified as Sai Puneeth and his collegemate were involved in a scuffle over an unknown issue.
According to police, college floor in-charge Satish, who was present at the scene, noticed the altercation and allegedly beat up Sai Puneeth severely, landing multiple punches on his face. The assault was so brutal that the victim’s jawbone was fractured.
Following a complaint lodged by the injured student, Malakpet police registered a case against Satish and initiated an investigation.
The incident sparked outrage among parents, who strongly condemned the violent behavior of corporate educational institutions and accused management of fostering a culture of intimidation and hooliganism. They staged a protest on the college premises on Thursday.
Meanwhile, police have assured strict action against the accused and said a further inquiry is underway.
