Hyderabad: Keystone Basketball Academy registered their second win in as many matches with a convincing 57-32 win over YMCA Youth while Amegos stayed in contention of qualifying with a 93-75 victory over Don Bosco in the Annual League Basketball Championship of the Hyderabad District Basketball Association. In another match KVBR Stadium defeated Samskruthi 58-43.

Keystone Academy got off to a fine start with Rohan and Samhith using their height and reach dwarfing the YMCA players as they scored 27 points against 14 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Subhash and Akash were on target as the winners stretched the lead to 39-20 even though Anthony and Patrick were getting a few shots but could not match the winners at the boards. The second half saw Eshwar, Jayadev and Tanmay picking up baskets and Keystone emerged easy winner.

In a high scoring game, Amegos led by the versatile Harsha who logged in the highest individual tally of 47 points rattled the Don Bosco team with his superlative marksmanship which brooked no answer and with Abhishek never letting go any opportunity to score, the winner were all over the place leaving Don Bosco no chance of making a comeback after they trailed 36-49 at the breather. For the loser, Lokesh and Aashish were the pick among the lot.

KVBR led by the burly Venu and Ram maintained a slender lead right through before outscoring theSamskruthi team in the finakl quarter to secure a 58-43 verdict leading 28-24 at the breather. For the loser it was Yogi who fought a lone battle scoring in the restricted area and chipping in with 21 points.
