Hyderabad: Yesteryear star and former Union Minister U Krishnam Raju has been admitted to a hospital in the city. It is learnt that he was admitted to Apollo after he suffered a fracture of his leg when he accidentally fell at his residence on Monday evening. According to medical staff at Apollo, he is said to be stable and a surgery was performed on him successfully.
However, the press release from Krishnam Raju’s office stated that he was admitted to Apollo for a regular health check-up. He also learnt the health condition of actor Sai Dharam Tej who is undergoing medical treatment in the same hospital. The former Minister also prayed for the early recovery of Sai Dharam Tej, reads the press release.
Born in Mogaltur in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, Krishnam Raju, who is fondly called Rebel Star by his fans, has acted in over 183 movies before taking a plunge into active politics. He served as Minister of State for External Affairs in the Vajpayee Cabinet from 1999-2004.
