Hyderabad: Man and 10-year-old girl drown in Indira Sagar Cheruvu

A 20-year-old man and a 10-year-old girl drowned in Indira Sagar Cheruvu at Anajpur, Hyderabad, after the girl accidentally fell into the water and the man attempted to rescue her. Abdullapurmet police have registered a case and are investigating.

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, two persons including a 10-year-old girl accidentally drowned in Indira Sagar Cheruvu at Anajpur in Abdullapurmet on the city outskirts on Sunday.

The victims were identified as Indrasena Reddy (20), and his relative Pranitha (10).

According to the police, Pranitha, her parents, and Indrasena Reddy, had gone to a real estate venture located near Indira Sagar Cheruvu.

While playing near the water body, Pranitha slipped and fell into the water. Upon noticing this, Indrasena Reddy rushed to her rescue and tried to save it. Unfortunately, both drowned.

Based on a complaint, the Abdullapurmet police booked a case and are investigating.
