Hyderabad: Man consumes poison, dies at Osmania General Hospital

A 40-year-old plumber died by suicide at his home in Yakutpura, Hyderabad, after consuming poison, reportedly due to mounting financial and personal pressures. He was rushed to Osmania General Hospital but could not be saved.

Hyderabad: A plumber died by suicide at his house in Yakutpura over financial difficulties on Tuesday night.

The man, Syed Hassan Hyder (40) lived along with his wife in Yakutpura under Rein Bazar police station area.

According to the police, on Tuesday evening, Hyder mixed a poisonous substance into a soft drink and consumed it. He was rushed to Osmania General Hospital where he succumbed to the poisoning later that night.

The family members of Hyder told the police that he had slipped into depression due to personal and financial issues and may have taken the extreme step as a result. The Rein Bazar police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
