Hyderabad man’s organs donated under Jeevandan, six patients benefit

A 40-year-old Team Leader at Roto Maker Company, Surya Ravi Kumar, was declared brain dead after suffering a stroke-like episode and admitted to a private hospital.

Hyderabad: The family of 40-year-old Team Leader at Roto Maker Company for Multimedia, Surya Ravi Kumar, who was declared brain dead, donated his organs to needy patients under the Jeevandan organ donation initiative.

So far, Jeevandan has completed 100 successful organ donations, including 81 men and 19 women, benefiting 379 recipients this year.
On June 10, Kumar was admitted to a private hospital with weakness in the right upper and lower limbs, slurred speech and deviation of the mouth. His condition did not improve after emergency medical treatment and he was declared brain dead on June 15.

His wife Sura Prabandha gave her consent to donate his kidneys, liver, lungs, and corneas, helping six patients in need.
