Hyderabad: Minor among two arrested for robbery

The suspects allegedly rob a car driver of his mobile phone after attacking him with a knife

Hyderabad: The Asifnagar police on Wednesday apprehended two persons including a juvenile for allegedly robbing a car driver of his mobile phone after attacking him with a knife three days ago.

Those apprehended are Syed Rehan (18) and his associate, a juvenile.

According to the police, victim Imdadullah (45), a resident of Zeba Bagh, had parked his car and was walking alone on the road on Sunday afternoon when both the suspects attacked him with a knife and snatched away the mobile phone.

On a complaint, the police under the supervision of Asifnagar ACP K Vijay Srinivas formed special teams and identified the suspects with the help of closed circuit camera footage. The police caught them and on questioning they admitted to committing the crime.
