Hyderabad: MMC chief orders separate rainwater and drainage lines
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy has directed officials to create separate rainwater and drainage lines to prevent pollution and overflow, while also stressing waste management, timely garbage collection and removal of construction debris.

Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation commissioner, T Vinay Krishna Reddy, on Friday directed officials to make separate arrangements for rainwater channels and drainage water lines to prevent pollution and address overflow problems.
During a visit to Sharada Nagar, the commissioner discussed the issue of rainwater mixing with drainage water and suggested separate arrangements for rainwater channels and drainage water lines. He also sought measures to prevent rainwater stagnation.
He also visited Sharada Nagar Phase-3, Kalvancha Srinagar Colony and Amangal at Hayathnagar Circle and appealed to residents to hand over household waste only to garbage collection vehicles and not litter in public places. He later interacted with garbage collection auto drivers and instructed them to ensure daily collection of waste on time.
He directed immediate removal of garbage from roadsides and suggested setting up mini containers to prevent littering in public places. He also asked officials to promptly remove construction debris.
