Hyderabad: The national webinar on ‘Transformation: Imperatives for the Indian Armed Forces’ which started yesterday with a keynote address by Gen Bipin Rawat, CDS, concluded at College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, on Friday.

Major General Arvind Bhatia from HQ IDS opening the session ‘Sustenance Imperatives’ steered the discourse of the session by giving out his views on the desired vision for Joint Training to Achieve Full Spectrum Capabilities.


Air Vice Marshal NM Samuel (Retired), who covered ‘Conduct of Integrated Operations’ amplified imperatives from the emerging battlefield milieu. Brigadier Girish Kalia from HQ IDS spoke about the ‘Integrated Operational Logistics and Maintenance’ so as to effectively sustain the future ready force.

The theme ‘Modernisation Imperatives’ was covered by distinguished speakers from the three services.

Air Marshal SP Wagle addressed the audience on ‘Imperatives for Force Development of Indian Armed Forces’ and Air Vice Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari from Air HQ, delivered a talk on ‘Aerospace Force Structures for the Future – Prospects for the IAF’ while the valedictory was by Lieutenant General Satish Dua (Retired), a press release said.
