Hyderabad: Over 10 residential colonies were inundated in Secunderabad Cantonment on Friday due to heavy downpour.

The century-old Ramannakunta Lake overflowed, resulting in five residential colonies being flooded. Some low-lying areas in Sikh Village, near Begumpet Airport, and areas within the Patny Nala area also saw water flooding the roads.

Hydraa Commissioner AV Ranganath inspected the flooded areas and is overseeing relief efforts. Along with the Hyderabad DRF teams, monsoon emergency teams have also been deployed to assist in relief operations. The Commissioner visited the areas around Patny Nala by boat to supervise the evacuation efforts.
