Hyderabad: For six years in a row, Hyderabad has balanced its old world charm with evolving progress to retain the crown of being the best Indian city that offers top-notch quality of life.
The top billing that Hyderabad has received in the Quality of Living Rankings-2023 by the global consulting firm Mercer, over Mumbai and Delhi, reiterates the city’s emergence as a major hub in the country.
The ranking also reflects the unimpeded growth in every sector that the city enjoyed in during the BRS regime. A fact that was subtly acknowledged by the BRS working president, KT Rama Rao on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
“Hyderabad is yet again rated as the best Indian city by Mercer. This is the 6th time since 2015 and I congratulate all Hyderabadis,” he said.
Several social media influencers gave the credit to BRS party for the Mercer ranking. “There is a reason why Hyderabadi voters stood rock solid with the BRS party in the recently held assembly elections. This is because for the sixth year in a row, the city has been rated as the best in India by Mercer,” Putta Vishnuvardhan Reddy on platform X, said.
Arpita Prakash, an architect, on X said “All the credit belongs to KTR (sic). You made Hyderabad as best city in the country. I only wish to see Hyderabad on top again in the next year’s rankings”.
Others pointed out that compared to other metros, Hyderabad has an edge because of massive infrastructure, world class international airport, top-notch private educational institutions and English speaking population.
