Hyderabad: A podiatry unit to provide foot care from medical conditions caused due to peripheral artery disease (PAD) including diabetic foot was launched in the outpatient wing of Medicover Hospitals, Hi-Tech City on Saturday.
The state-of-the-art foot care facility will provide world class health care services to patients suffering from foot problems, said Krishna Yedula, General Secretary, Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), who inaugurated the facility.
Dr Srikanth Raju, Endovascular Surgeon and foot care specialist said that many diabetic foot problems place a financial burden and lifestyle issues on many people. Dr Krishna Reddy senior endocrinologist said, “In our clinical practice, we have seen that 50 per cent of patients with diabetes have foot ulcers and 50 per cent”.
Dr Anil Krishna, CMD, Medicover Hospitals, Dr A R Krishna Prasad, Director and Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Hari Krishna, ED, Medicover Hospitals, Dr Durgesh, Cluster Head, Medicover Hospitals, Dr Mata Prasad, Center Head and others were present.
