Hyderabad police book over 100 for public drinking and smoking

Hyderabad police conducted a special enforcement drive across the Secunderabad Zone against public drinking and smoking. During the operation, more than 100 violators were booked, including individuals consuming marijuana, smoking in public places and drinking alcohol in public areas.

Hyderabad: The city police conducted a special enforcement drive against public drinking and smoking across the Secunderabad Zone, booking over 100 violators on Thursday.

During the two-hour drive, police teams inspected parks, graveyards, wine shops and other vulnerable locations.

Officials caught one person consuming marijuana, 28 people smoking in public places and 81 people drinking alcohol in public areas. Cases were registered against all the violators and they were counselled by the police.
