Hyderabad Police issue guidelines for NY celebrations

The organisers were warned not to allow any fire arms inside the venue and ensure that passes are not be granted in excess to the capacity.

Hyderabad: For the coming New Year celebrations, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand on Thursday issued guidelines to the managements of 3-Star and above hotels, clubs, bars, restaurant and pubs.

Accordingly, the managements conducting ticketed events until midnight should apply for permission 15 days prior and provide adequate security guards for traffic regulation. They will have to ensure surveillance cameras with recording facility are installed at all the entry and exit points and parking places.


Decency of apparel, dance acts, gestures words has to be ensured by organisers and there should be no obscenity in any performances. The sound system in outdoor must be stopped at 10pm and the sound system in indoor closed premises in permitted only up to 1am and the noise level should not exceed 45 decibels.

Similarly, the organisers were warned not to allow any fire arms inside the venue and ensure that passes are not be granted in excess to the capacity.

Likewise, no minors should be permitted in events organised for couples and in pubs and bars. Strictly, no drugs should be permitted. Organisers should deploy security guard for taking care of systematic parking inside premises and regular traffic at entry and exit gates.

Further, managements should not serve liquor beyond the hours permitted by Excise Department and it is the responsibility of the managements to arrange drivers or cabs to sober customers. Drunk driving, rash driving and minors driving should not be encouraged. Silencers of two-wheelers should not be removed and noise pollution should be avoided. There should not be any display or use of fireworks.

Similarly, advisory issued by departments concerned should be displayed for guests on the premises. She Teams are everywhere, so anyone indulging in crime against women will be strictly dealt with law.
