Ahead of the Central Milad Juloos scheduled for Sunday, Hyderabad Police held a coordination meeting with the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee to ensure a peaceful and disciplined procession.
Hyderabad: In view of the Central Milad Juloos scheduled for Sunday, the Hyderabad police organised a meeting with the “Markazi Milad Juloos Committee” on Wednesday.
The police instructed the organisers not to use DJ systems and warned of legal action in case of any violations. Committee members were urged to ensure that bike stunts and sound pollution by the removal of silencers were prevented. The committee was also directed to ensure adherence to the prescribed route allotted for the Milad-un-Nabi procession in the city.
The Vijayadashami Seemollanghan Committee on Wednesday met Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand and extended an invitation to him to participate as the Chief Guest in the Ravana Dahan programme organised as part of the Dasara celebrations.
The committee chairman T Jitendra Singh, Goshamahal Corporator P Lal Singh, former corporator G Mukesh Singh, and journalist Arvind Singh Lodhi met Anand and requested his presence at the 75th Ravana Dahan event, scheduled to be held at Ganesh Ghat near Old Bridge.
The committee also shared the rich history of the event over the past 75 years, notable previous guests, Telangana’s cultural heritage, and the significance of Bathukamma festival.
The Commissioner recalled his childhood excitement about watching Ravana Dahan and appreciated the committee’s dedication to organising this large-scale cultural event for decades.
