Hyderabad: Saksham fuel conservation campaign held at NIEPID
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas–initiated Saksham fuel conservation campaign was held at NIEPID, Bowenpally. The annual initiative promotes sustainable energy practices and will run from February 2 to 16 with public awareness activities.

Hyderabad: Saksham (Samrakshan Kshamatha Mahotsav), an annual awareness campaign initiated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, to promote fuel conservation and raise awareness of sustainable energy practices, was held at National Institute for the Empowerment of Person with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID), Bowenpally, on Monday.
Organized by oil and gas public sector enterprises in collaboration with local authorities, educational institutions, industries, and key stakeholders, Saksham aims to drive India towards a greener future.
The inaugural was attended by VK Mishra, Joint Chief Controller of Explosives, PESO, Hyderabad Circle , along with State Heads of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and the Deputy Director (I/C) of NIEPID .
The theme for this year’s campaign ‘Conserve Oil and Gas, Go Green’ underscores the transition towards renewable energy sources and energy-efficient solutions for environmental sustainability, a press release said.
Saksham 2025 will run from February 2 to 16 featuring diverse activities to engage citizens, debates, wall paintings, cyclothons, walkathons, workshops, seminars and awareness programs.
