Hyderabad: Security scare at RGIA as bullet found in passenger’s luggage
A security scare was reported at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport after a bullet was found in a passenger’s luggage during routine screening. CISF seized the ammunition and handed the passenger to police, who are investigating its source and legality.
Hyderabad: A security scare was reported at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad allegedly after a bullet was found in the luggage of a passenger who arrived from Tirupati here on Friday.
As per information available, it was during a routine baggage screening, security personnel detected the bullet, immediately raising concerns.
The CISF staff seized the ammunition and handed over the passenger to the RGIA police for further action.
Police took the individual into custody and took up investigation to ascertain how the bullet came into his possession and whether it was linked to any licensed firearm.
