Hyderabad: Sikh community to provide oxygen cylinders to Covid patients
If anyone requires refilling of oxygen, that would also be done without collecting any charges, said Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha president Surender Singh Makhija
Hyderabad: Members of Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha and Sikh Seva Organisation have come forward to supply oxygen cylinders and concentrators to Covid-19 patients free of cost for over five days.
If anyone requires refilling of oxygen, that would also be done without collecting any charges, said Gurudwara president Surender Singh Makhija and vice-president Nirmal Singh Bagga. They said oxygen cylinders and concentrators would be provided after entering the patient’s details on the website https://sikhshyderabad.com/.
The patients’ attendants can also place a request for a plasma donor on the website. “We are dealing with an unprecedented human crisis and grappling with bare minimum resources. Since we are receiving distress calls, we are supplying oxygen cylinders and concentrators free of cost to the patients,” they said.
“We started this service keeping in mind the hardships being faced by the needy patients due to non-availability of oxygen cylinders and concentrators,” Bagga said, adding that their initiative would help many people during the pandemic.
