Hyderabad: Teen beaten to death by friends, police investigate

A 19-year-old SSC student, Raghuveer Ray, was allegedly beaten to death by three friends in Banjara Hills on Saturday night. He was found unconscious at Hanging Gardens and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police have registered a case.

Hyderabad: A standard tenth student was allegedly beaten to death by his friends at Banjara Hills on Saturday night.

According to the police, the victim Raghuveer Ray (19) lived with his parents and siblings at Uday Nagar, Banjara Hills, and was appearing for the SSC Board exams.


On Saturday evening, Raghuveer, along with his three friends, who are all teenagers, went out on some work. “In the night, Raghuveer was found in an unconscious state at Hanging Gardens, Banjara Hills. He was shifted to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Inquiries revealed that the friends of Raghuveer beat him with hands and legs, leading to fatal injuries; he subsequently died,” said Banjara Hills Inspector, B Suahasan.

A case is registered.
