A 19-year-old SSC student, Raghuveer Ray, was allegedly beaten to death by three friends in Banjara Hills on Saturday night. He was found unconscious at Hanging Gardens and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police have registered a case.

The victim, 15-year-old Katta Bhanu, was a ninth-grade student at a private school in Choutuppal. After returning home late from a school award function, his father, Saidulu, became furious over the delay and severely beat him, leading to his death.

According to villagers, Peddi Rajashekhar (33), who was addicted to liquor, used to harass his family members in an inebriated condition.
