Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident at IS Sadan on Saturday night.

The victim was identified as Mohammed Izhaan, a resident of Santosh Nagar Colony.

According to police, an XUV vehicle hit the child while he was crossing the road and fled from the spot. The incident occurred near Sweekar Hotel when the boy was crossing the road after accompanying his parents for dinner.

The injured boy was immediately shifted to Owaisi Hospital, Kanchanbagh, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Police identified the vehicle involved in the accident as an XUV. A case is being registered and efforts are under way to trace the driver.
