Hyderabad to witness heavy rain, gusty winds overnight
Hyderabad is expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall overnight, with gusty winds reaching up to 50 kmph, according to IMD-Hyderabad. An independent weather tracker has predicted an increase in rain intensity, especially in northern parts of the city.
Hyderabad: The steady drizzle that fell for most of Thursday evening in the city has turned into light to moderate rainfall, which is expected to continue throughout the night and well into the early hours of Friday.
Based on IMD-Hyderabad forecast, almost all parts of Hyderabad are likely to witness moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds (40-50 kmph) on Friday.
Along with the rains, day and night temperatures across all parts of the State are also expected to drop by a degree.
According to an independent weather tracker, T Balaji, the intensity of the rains is likely to increase by Thursday night. ‘As we head into the overnight hours, rain intensity is set to increase. Steady light to moderate rains ahead in northern parts of Hyderabad city for the next two hours. The rest of the city will have steady light rains. More non-stop showers ahead overnight,’ Balaji posted on X on Thursday night.
