Hyderabad is expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall overnight, with gusty winds reaching up to 50 kmph, according to IMD-Hyderabad. An independent weather tracker has predicted an increase in rain intensity, especially in northern parts of the city.
Independent weather tracker T. Balaji has issued a warning for severe thunderstorms across Hyderabad between 8.15 pm and 12 am on Sunday. In a post on X, he alerted residents to expect heavy storm activity across the city.
Hyderabad witnessed intense rainfall on Wednesday night, with Musheerabad recording the highest at 18.4 cm. Data from TGDPS revealed that 26 locations, primarily in Secunderabad, received very heavy rainfall. Serilingampally and other north-western areas also saw significant downpour.

Early morning temperatures dipped sharply in several parts of Hyderabad and districts of Telangana State on Thursday, with cold and chilly winds bringing down the mercury by at least 3 to 4 degree Celsius at multiple locations
The average minimum temperature recorded between Sunday evening and Monday morning was 9.4°C at Moinabad on the outskirts of the city. In the districts, temperatures ranged between 6.5°C and 9°C at several locations, including Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Adilabad, Sangareddy, and Nirmal.
As per the Telangana Planning Development Society, Arli (T) village in Bheempur mandal, Adilabad district, recorded the lowest minimum temperature in Telangana at 5.9 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Bela and Mavala mandal headquarters, along with the Bela mandal center, registered minimum temperatures of 6.3 degrees Celsius and 7.1 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Even at 11 am, the minimum and maximum temperatures in many areas across the State were below 25 degree C, with Doma in Vikarabad registering a minimum temperature of 21.9 degree C and a maximum temperature of 24.8 degree C.
APSDMA also stated that a few districts like Machilipatnam and Anantapur will witness a generally cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thunderstorms from April 21 to 26.
