Hyderabad: Traffic constable alleges assault by GHMC officials in Banjara Hills
A traffic constable in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills alleged that two GHMC officials assaulted him after he stopped their vehicle for reportedly travelling on the wrong side of the road. Police have initiated an inquiry and are gathering details from those involved.

Hyderabad: A traffic constable was assaulted by GHMC officials for allegedly stopping them for travelling on the wrong side of the road in Banjara Hills on Friday.
According to preliminary information, Traffic Constable Srisailam stopped a car carrying two persons , a GHMC Assistant Engineer (AE) and an Assistant Medical Officer of Health (AMOH) assistant for allegedly driving in the wrong direction.
An argument reportedly broke out after the constable questioned them for breaking traffic rule.
The constable alleged that the officials verbally abused him and physically attacked him during the altercation.
Based on the constable’s complaint, the Banjara Hills police are inquiring into the incident and are collecting details from those involved.
