When GHMC officials reached Pyaranagar on Tuesday night with waste-carrying vehicles to begin the dump yard construction, the villagers strongly opposed the move. In response, the police detained 45 residents from Pyaranagar and Nallavalli and resumed the work under heavy security deployment.
