Hyderabad: Water tanker lifted from nala road cave-in in Banjara Hills

A water tanker stuck in a road cave-in at Banjara Hills Road No. 1 was removed by crane. The incident disrupted traffic and alarmed residents, who urged GHMC to conduct regular inspections to ensure infrastructure safety in the area.

Hyderabad: The water tanker that got stuck when a road over nala caved in at Banjara Hills Road No.1 on Tuesday was lifted and moved by the traffic police today using a heavy crane.

The incident with the tanker stuck in the caved in portion had disrupted the traffic on the busy road stretch and in particular left residents of nearby Maheswari Towers in distress.

A joint team from the traffic police and GHMC had coordinated in the removal of the tanker.

However, the incident reignited discussions on infrastructure safety and the need for stringent regulatory oversight in urban areas.

Residents of Maheshwari Towers demanded that GHMC authorities implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future, including regular inspections of infrastructure in the Banjara Hills area.
