Hyderabad: A woman was found murdered at Shaikpet in Golconda on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim B Chenamma, who worked as a construction labourer, lived with her husband Anjaneyulu in Manikonda and was a native of Mahbubnagar district.
On Tuesday morning, she left home saying she was going for work. However, she did not return home. On Wednesday afternoon, her body was found at an isolated place in Shaikpet by locals who alerted the Golconda police.
“Chenamma’s husband told us that one person had come to the labour adda and took her saying there was construction work. It is not clear how she came here. There is an injury on her head,” Chandrasekhar, SHO (Golconda) said.
A case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered and efforts are on to nab the killers. The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue.
