Bring a Smile Foundation is set to come up with a donation drive in the city on March 5, where people from across the city can drop any old items including clothes, accessories, toys, books, school items, utensils, footwear or any other household items.
The ones interested to donate some items can pack them all in a box and drop them at various stations including Gachibowli, Banjara Hills, Kukatpally, Moosapet, Kondapur, Srinagar Colony, Begumpet, Narsingi, Nallagandla and Khajaguda.
“The donation should be made in a box and preferably also labelled. For example, if there are adult dresses, they should be labelled similarly. These boxes from various stations will then be distributed to the underprivileged in villages near Mulugu and Narayanpet,” shares Sushma Reddy, one of the members of Bring a Smile.
The organisers request the ones donating to only give away things that are in usable condition so the ones taking it can make use of it.
The drive will be held from 9 am to 4 pm on March 5. “So if you have any items lying lifeless or not being used, bring them all to this donation drive so someone in need can use the items,” share the organisers.
