Hyderabad: As inflows from twin reservoirs, Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar, abated, and the flow of River Musi decreased, the DRF teams of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) on Monday began cleaning of the affected colonies that were left with debris, mud, and sand.
Hydraa authorities, in coordination with other departments, intensified efforts to remove accumulated debris, mud, and sand from several low-lying areas. Extensive cleanup operations were conducted in colonies near Chaderghat and Moosarambagh bridges, including Rasoolpura, Musanagar, Shankar Nagar, Padmavathi Nagar, and Dobi Galli. The teams also cleared garbage accumulated near the two bridges.
Furthermore, the teams repaired certain roads damaged in BN Reddy Nagar and Gayatri Nagar. Separately, in Hayathnagar, Hydraa DRF teams retrieved the body of Surakanti Ashok Reddy, who died after falling into a septic tank while fetching flowers for Bathukamma festival in the Commercial Tax Colony, according to an official statement.
