Hyderabad: Sreenidi Deccan FC played out a 1-1 draw against Real Kashmir FC in Round 13 of the I-League 2024-25 at Deccan Arena on Thursday. Paulo Cezar put Real Kashmir ahead in the 25th minute, while David Castaneda equalised for Sreenidi Deccan just before halftime.
The visitors took the lead when Cezar managed to get past centre-back Eli Sabia and slotted the ball past goalkeeper Aryan Lamba, giving the visitors a crucial lead.
Trailing by a goal, the Deccan Warriors responded with increased possession and attacking intent. Their persistence paid off in the 42nd minute when Angel Orelien delivered a pinpoint cross into the box. Colombian forward David Castaneda rose to the occasion, heading the ball past the keeper to level the score.
The second half remained evenly contested, with both teams pressing for a winner. However, solid defensive displays and crucial saves from both goalkeepers ensured the match ended in a stalemate. With this result, Sreenidi Deccan sit eighth in the standings, while Real Kashmir hold fourth place. Sreenidi Deccan will next face Shillong Lajong FC at SSA Stadium, Shillong, on February 14.
