ICA Hyderabad chapter discusses welfare measures for former cricketers

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad chapter meeting of the Indian Cricketers’ Association (ICA) was successfully conducted yesterday, with the enthusiastic participation of more than 40 former men and women cricketers who are members of the ICA.
The meeting provided a platform for members to interact and stay informed about various initiatives being undertaken by the ICA in collaboration with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the welfare of former cricketers.
Some of the key issues discussed at the meeting included welfare measures and support programmes for former cricketers, financial assistance schemes available to eligible members, medical support and healthcare initiatives being extended through ICA and BCCI, and future plans aimed at strengthening engagement and enhancing the well-being of former players.
Rajesh Yadav, Vanka Pratap, Abdul Bari Wahab and M.V. Rao were among the members of the Hyderabad chapter who participated in the meeting.
The interactive session was well received by members, who appreciated the continued efforts of the ICA and BCCI in safeguarding the interests and welfare of former cricketers while fostering a stronger sense of community among cricketing veterans.
On Monday, the ICA officially unveiled its new logo and launched the inaugural edition of its member newsletter.
