Sangareddy: The Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) and the United Nations University – Centre for Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance research and innovation in sustainable development, climate resilience, and governance here on Wednesday on the occasion of the institute’s 17th foundation day.
This collaboration aims to harness UNU’s policy research expertise and IIT-H’s technological leadership to drive impactful solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), according to a press release. By fostering regional integration, capacity building, and knowledge exchange, this partnership will contribute to transformative advancements that benefit communities locally and globally, it added.
Meanwhile, Prof Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to Government of India, attended as the chief guest for the Foundation Day celebrations. Director of IIT-H Prof BS Murty and others were present
