Hyderabad: If you are going from Secunderabad towards Mettuguda touching Rail Nilayam, you might have observed the iconic Sir Alec Steam Locomotive Engine outside Rail Nilayam being beautifully illuminated with an added grace.
In an attempt to maintain and preserve the heritage engine, the South Central Railway has repainted the Steam Locomotive Engine and has also added a few new features to it.
The heritage engine now makes a sound of a movement, honks in between and also emits some smoke like those old steam engines while making people nostalgic.
The South Central Railway has also shared a video of the illuminated ‘Sir Alec’ Steam Locomotive Engine.
With this, Rail Nilayam has now become a reason for many parents to bring their kids to the Secunderabad area and share their stories of travelling in those heritage steam engines.
