India–Australia Smart Farm Network Initiative launched at PJTAU
The Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH), along with Australian and Indian institutions, launched the India–Australia Smart Farm Network in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: The Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH), in collaboration with Charles Sturt University, Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University, Bengaluru Science and Technology Cluster, and CoE-FPO, Bengaluru, organised the launch of the India–Australia Smart Farm Network (IASFN) here on Thursday.
The initiative aims to strengthen India–Australia collaboration in climate-smart agriculture, digital agriculture technologies, precision farming, innovation, and sustainable agricultural systems, a press release said.
The platform will facilitate joint research, pilot projects, start-up engagement, knowledge exchange, and capacity building between institutions and stakeholders from both countries, it said.
The workshop witnessed participation from representatives of government agencies, universities, research organisations, start-ups, industry, and innovation ecosystem partners from India and Australia.
High Commissioner of Australia to India, Philip Green OAM highlighted the importance of India–Australia partnerships in agriculture, innovation, and sustainability to support farmers and strengthen climate resilience.
PJTAU Vice Chancellor Prof. Aldas Janaiah said the initiative would help strengthen collaboration among academia, industry, technology developers, and farmers while promoting research translation and innovation adoption in agriculture.
