Hyderabad: Over 1,500 photos by 450 photographers from across 35 countries will be on display in the month-long exhibition
The 7th edition of the Indian Photo Festival will be inaugurated at the State Gallery of Art today (November 18) at 5 pm. With the support of the Tourism Department, Government of Telangana, and State Gallery of Art as main venue, the Light Craft Foundation organising ‘IPF 2021’.
The month-long exhibition, which will be on till December 19, will be inaugurated by V Srinivas Goud, Minister of Prohibition & Excise, Sports & Youth Services, Tourism & Culture and Archaeology, Government of Telangana. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary to Industries & Commerce (I &C) and Information and Technology (IT) Departments, Government of Telangana; Dr K Lakshmi, IAS, Director, State Gallery of Art; Prashant Panjiar (photo journalist and author); Ratna Sekhar, editor, writer and art critic, will also be present at the inaugural ceremony.
This will be followed by the book launch of ‘That Which Is Unseen’ by Prashant Panjiar, who will be in conversation with Ratna Sekhar, from 6 pm onwards.
The photo exhibition will see a display of more than 1,500 photographs by 450 photographers from 35 countries, including India, US, UK, Norway, Russia, Argentina, Bangladesh, Iraq, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Indonesia, Belgium, Myanmar and Ecuador.
