Hyderabad: India’s First Airport Brewery, Barley & Grapes (B&G), has opened its doors to the city at RGIA Aero Plaza. To stay open 24/7, it was launched on March 13 with renowned bloggers from across the city spending the evening wining and dining with Threeory, Hyderabad’s favourite band.
B&G is the idea of Meghna and Sridhar Vakada. As its name suggests, it is a venue for everyone—both beer and wine lovers. The first cafe was opened in Bengaluru in 2013 and with four locations already there, B&G opened its first microbrewery in Hyderabad.
“It’s very exciting to venture into Hyderabad and to be the first microbrewery at an airport since the industry has seen amazing growth in the recent past and people are opening up to venture out to seek new experiences and cuisines. For me this is double fold exciting as it’s my birth city and this is also the first time we are venturing into the microbrewery space” said Sridhar Vakada.
The Cafe offers a collection of The Beatles themed craft beers called, “the Beertles.” The place is surrounded by 300 plants that specialize in absorbing toxins and releasing much-needed oxygen into the atmosphere, a press release said. The Cafe has a big indoor and outdoor seating area, as well as enough capacity to accommodate concerts and gigs.
