Karimnagar: District Collector RV Karnan on Sunday said the inspection of reserve EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) was being carried out in the presence of political parties for the October 30 bypoll for Huzurabad constituency.
The Collector, in the presence of representatives of all political parties, opened godown in which the EVMs preserved to be used for the upcoming bypoll, located on the district collectorate premises.
Karnan said 200 ballot units have been brought from Peddapalli district and the voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPATs) available at EVMs godown were inspected and kept in reserve. The first level checking (FLC) of EVMs control units and VVPATs would be carried out in the presence of the representatives of political parties on Monday, he stated.
Additional Collector GV Shyamprasad Lal, RDO Anand Kumar, representatives of TRS, BJP, BSP, TDP and MIM parties participated in the programme.
