Intermediate student dies by suicide in Khammam’s Sathupalli

A 19-year-old Intermediate second-year student allegedly died by suicide at his home in Sathupalli mandal of Khammam district. Police said the student was studying at a private college in Khammam and had returned home three days earlier

Khammam: An Intermediate second-year student allegedly died by suicide in Sathupalli mandal of Khammam district.

According to the police, the deceased, Tammireddy Sricharan Reddy (19), of B Gangaram village in the mandal, was studying at a private college in Khammam. He had come home three days ago and had been staying there since then.

On Tuesday midnight, while his family members were sleeping, Sricharan Reddy allegedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan at the house using a chunni. The family members noticed him and immediately rushed him to the Sathupalli Government Hospital.

After conducting tests, the doctors confirmed that he was already dead. Sathupalli police registered a case based on a complaint from the family members and are investigating the incident. The reasons for the student’s extreme step were not known yet.
