Hyderabad: The Investiture Ceremony of the newly elected prefectorial board of Delhi Public School, Nacharam was held on July 9 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a fusion dance. Principal Sunitha Rao addressing the gathering said that the school has always aligned its curriculum with the values of life and focussed on inculcating a repertoire of skills in students. She further enumerated the initiatives taken by the school and catalogued the glorious achievements and awards of the school and its students. Senior Vice-Principal Nandita Sunkara shed light on the stringent process of student council elections and advised the office bearers to work with a spirit of unity in the interest of students at large. Chairman Komaraiah said that the school has never compromised in providing quality education to students and kept learning in continuation even during critical times.
Chief guest Jitender, IPS Addl DGP Law & Order Telangana, conducted the swearing-in ceremony by reading the oath and offered two valuable principles of leadership – being a good follower and being responsible. He urged the pupils to strive for knowledge and maintain a healthy lifestyle. He also apprised the audience of the citizen-friendly contactless traffic initiative taken by the police department. Yasasvi Malka, chief operating officer, alumni, and former head boy of the school conveyed his best wishes to the prefects and encouraged them to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. This was followed by an invigorating school song “We are from DPS, we will be the future”.
The elected appointees were invested with their designations, as the proud parents and teachers cheered on. A total of 308 student council members took the oath. The glorious program was vivaciously coordinated by vice-principals Sudha and Surekha. The speeches by the head girl Shreshta, and emcees Ansh and Tanvi enthralled the audience. The vote of thanks was delivered by the head boy Pradyumna Reddy.
