Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA G Jagadish Reddy accused the Congress government of pushing Telangana into administrative collapse, with corruption scandals are emerging daily while the Ministers fight among themselves. He said governance has been abandoned and infighting has replaced accountability.
Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, Jagadish Reddy said two years of Congress rule had been defined by loot, hoard and share. He pointed to internal conflicts where Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy complained that key government orders were being issued without their knowledge.
He cited Minister Konda Surekha’s daughter accusing the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister of intervening in her mother’s departments, and Minister Seethakka dismissing her PA over illegal sand transport. “Even MLAs are raising complaints publicly, while rival news channels linked to Congress factions were exposing each other, leaving the administration paralysed and the public neglected,” he added.
The former Minister said the media attacks intensified only after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy visited the home of a prominent media owner. He pointed to TDP flags seen at the Khammam meeting as evidence of political collusion and warned that Revanth Reddy would meet the same fate as N Chandrababu Naidu, who was driven out of the State by people of Telangana.
Jagadish Reddy said Revanth Reddy’s abrasive remarks and threats to destroy BRS flagposts marked a dangerous descent in political conduct. He demanded that the DGP and the Khammam Commissioner take action for incitement to violence.
He also criticised a vernacular newspaper for publishing a report implying a woman IAS officer had attempted suicide, calling it defamatory and urging IAS associations to seek immediate action.
