Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy on Thursday expressed his ire over R and B department officials for not ensuring quality in road works.

Following complaints from locals over poor quality of roads, the Minister conducted a surprise visit and inspected the R and B road between Durajpally-Garidepally road and expressed his ire over officials not taking up repair works. He also examined another R and Road at Dupahad in Penphad mandal following complaints by local elected representatives that the road was damaged within one month of the road being laid.

He also questioned the officials of R and B department as to why they were not inspecting the quality of road work while the contractor was laying it. He also instructed them to take up repair works of the road at Dupahad and complete it within 15 days.
