Jagtial: A car plunged into Kakatiya canal and went missing in the water near Vellulla of Metpalli mandal on Tuesday night. Local residents who saw the vehicle plunging down into the canal informed the police, who rushed to the spot and began a search operation after stopping water flow in the canal. Though it was not clear as to how many persons were travelling in the car, locals believe there were two persons in the vehicle.
