Hyderabad: District Election Officer RV Karnan on Friday instructed poll duty officials to ensure a transparent and orderly vote-counting process for Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency by-election scheduled on November 14.
He directed that all procedures follow Election Commission of India guidelines and that staff gain complete familiarity with the Counting Manual.
“The counting of votes will be conducted at the Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy Indoor Stadium on November 14. Staff must strictly follow all prescribed rules and procedures during the process to ensure accurate counting of postal ballots and EVM votes,” Karnan told trainees.
The instruction came during the first phase of training for counting supervisors, assistants and micro-observers at GHMC Head Office. Poll duty officials explained ECI norms related to the counting process and clarified queries raised by participants. Earlier, master trainers delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation on counting procedures and ECI instructions.
Karnan said that a second phase of training would be conducted for the counting staff on November 13.
