District Election Officer RV Karnan briefed poll officials on vote-counting procedures ahead of the November 14 Jubilee Hills by-election. Officials underwent training on ECI guidelines, counting rules, and accurate handling of postal ballots and EVM votes
The counting process commenced at 8 AM in the Ambedkar Indoor Stadium, where ballot boxes had been securely stored in a strong room following the completion of polling on February 27.
The number of rounds for counting varies, with a maximum of 24 rounds in Choppadandi, Yakutpura, and Devarakonda Assembly segments, and a minimum of 13 rounds in Armoor, Bhadrachalam, and Aswaraopet constituencies.
Chandrashekhar Rao is learnt to have asked the party leaders and cadre to be ready for celebrations on December 3 when the final results are officially announced.
